WWI: Trench Warfare

Very quickly after World War I started, the battle lines were set and then neither side made much progress against the other.  This stalemate was partly attributable to the new style of trench warfare that developed.   Take some notes on the slideshow below and then check out the three readings from the Battle of the Somme.  You will need to complete the graphic organizer on the first page and paragraph on the last page.
